Delta July 4, 2009

Road Trip to Delta for the 4th of July. My kids had a great time hanging out with the Nay kids: Maddy, Banana, and Ricky as Noah calls them (Maddie, Savannah, and Brooke).
Cole's favorite scary face!

Delta 4th of July Parade: What's more American than McDonald's? Classic photo!

Delta Crash-Up Derby. These are a family favorite. I always leave these events with a neck ache just watching the collisions.

Our 3 boys: Blake, Cole, and Noah. Ready for the 3 hour drive home. Sorry you lost your cell phone Blake!

We are all so tired. This was right before we left Delta to head home. That was a fun, long, 2 day trip.

Cancun July-Aug 2009

This is a hotel room for the week. It was very nice. We had a kitchen, master bedroom and then the boys slept on these very colorful couches. This is where we announced to our kids that I am pregnant! Their response was priceless. We got it on video. They made this trip very special to Aaron and I. We don't regret one bit taking them with us!
This vacation was very relaxing. These are my 3 boys asleep at a "theme park". Serious! This place is so relaxing they all fell asleep for 2 hours w/ a cool breeze blowing. Our kids were saints on this trip! I am so glad we took them with us.

This is the view from my chair at the restaurant where we ate lunch. It is not a painting! It is beautiful.....everywhere.

Noah still talks about how Cole held those birds in Magoon (that's Cancun when he can't remember the right name).

PICTURE PERFECT! Can you believe this place? These are all the tourists at Telum trying to cool off. I think it was 112 this day. We were sweating our brains out but none of us like salt water enough to seek relief even at that temperature with no showers in sight.

That's Moroni teaching Cole how to lurr the beasts with flowers. Moroni was our tour guide at Telum (City of Walls). This place was full of historically significant links to the Book of Mormon. What better tour guide could you request than Moroni?

I look much more comfortable then I actually was as I held those two heavy beasts! After I handed them back to the dude that forced them into my arms he put out his hand and demanded $5.00 (maybe even $10). I was not too pleased with his trickery.

A couple of bachelor pads I decorated!

I had so much fun doing these two houses because they were bachelors that pretty much gave me free reign to decorate the entire main level of their houses (guys are a lot easier to please than girls, that's for sure! :) Tell me what you think

My Interior Design Work

Girls room- The homeowner had purchased the bedding so I used it to inform the design for the room. She also asked for light colored paint. This turned out nice and her daughter loved her personalized name on the wall in block letters.
Outer Space Room:

This is the outer space room I just finished.

These pictures don't capture all the details like the glow in the dark planets that hang from the ceiling and in the window seal (since they aren't up yet). I made those orange drapes! It was my first time sewing anything and they even turned out cute! I couldn't find orange drapes anywhwere and the chance of finding that length was an even further stretch. There is also a hand painted piece of art that shows all the planets in their orbits.

Check out these three orphans. They are so cute. It is too bad no one loves them enough to do their hair. Atleast they have each other............
These two boys bring me more joy in my life than words can describe. Noah would give anything to be just like his older brother (and to still a bite from every meal without Cole seeing!) Half the time Noah doesn't finish his own food he just likes to get under Cole's skin and still his food.........I guess he knows it will all come up later.
Aubrie and Greg tied the knot and we all got new outfits because of it! My family is so cute. I couldn't find a picture yet where all three boys were smiling with their eyes open so this is what we've got! Noah looks so cute. Thanks Jan for the necklace. It went so well with my bride's maids dress.

All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth

Here it goes! Can you see how loose tooth number 2 is? The kid would not let me pull it out instead he wanted to eat an apple. Little did he know he would never see that tooth again- especially since I was not willing to dig through his digested apple to find it!
Thanks for the new sweaters Grandma V. The boys look so cute- look real close and you can see Cole with one tooth gone! This was just 2 weeks before Christmas 2008.

Sarah and Obama on Dancing with the Stars (who's the star and who's the pro!)

Saw this and just had to share it (thanks chelsea). I refuse to forward ANY email but I don't refuse to post funny stuff on my blog! Enjoy......this really did happen, right?

Fishing--Fun for the 1st time!

You might be asking yourself what is that there piece of metal on that there ornate countertop in that there very ornamental place?
This is a bathroom vanity in a very large and very expensive home in Park City. That tea pot is a faucet. Yeppers you heard me right......a faucet! Those cabinets are hand carved. I am sure there are other great details I am missing but I am telling you this house was grade A over the top amazing!!!!!!!!!! Not my tastes as all but still very nice.

Tonight we went as a family to a large house on a lot of land near Park City to fish out some fish from the family pond (not our family pond). These things are huge! They are going to be so yummy this winter for dinner (or so we hope). The boys had so much fun. We went with Ryan's family and this place was over the top amazing.

We caught six of these beauties in one hour!

Cousins Zach and Alyssa struggle to pull in this big fish
